3. Difficulty with communication
Communication difficulties are common in children with autism and can range from mild to severe. Some children with autism may have difficulty using language to communicate their needs and wants, while others may have delayed language development and speak only a few words or no words at all. Some children may also have difficulty understanding spoken language or following instructions.
In addition to challenges with language, children with autism may also have a limited range of interests. They may be less interested in exploring their environment or engaging in activities with others, and may instead prefer to engage in solitary activities or focus on a narrow range of interests.
